MacMillan earned a degree in political science.  During his time at LVC, MacMillan received conference honors in baseball.  He also played varsity basketball and football.  He was named co-captain of the football team for the 1963 season.  He was named ‘Mr. Athlete’ as the junior class representative to the Athletic Hall of Fame.
