The first Dutchman women's runner to have her jersey retired, Harnish won the NCAA National Championship in the indoor 800 meters as a senior in 2015. She is a three-time All-American and a seven-time national qualifier in the 800 meters between the indoor and outdoor seasons. Harnish won 17 MAC Championships and was named the MAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Year in 2014 and the Outdoor Rookie of the Year in 2011. She earned Academic All-America honors three times in her career and was the only Division III qualifier for the USA Junior Nationals in 2011. In cross country, she was a two-time All-MAC finisher, placing a career-best eighth at the 2011 Championships and 14th in 2012. She graduated with a degree in Health Science.
