DiJohnson graduated from the Valley with a degree in education. He was named “Men’s Sports Leader” for the class of 1950. On the football field, DiJohnson was known for his skill as a running back receiving an All-State Honorable Mention his junior year during the 1948 season. In the 1949 season, his senior year, DiJohnson was named co-captain of the football team and voted Most Outstanding Player of Small Colleges in PA. DiJohnson was also named co-captain of the basketball team in his final season playing as a forward. He was also a member of the varsity “L” club.
