The late Bob Kirkhoff ’77 was a two-sport athlete at LVC, captaining the football and baseball teams. In football, Kirkhoff played quarterback, with his best season coming in 1975 as he was named All-MAC after leading LVC to a 6-3 record. He threw for 12 touchdowns that season.
On the diamond, Kirkhoff established himself as the ace of LVC’s pitching staff, posting a 2.25 ERA as a junior and a 3.48 ERA as a senior, both best on the team.
After graduating in 1977, Kirkhoff began working for Hauck Manufacturing in Cleona while earning his MBA?from York College. He worked with Hauck for over 20 years before leaving to become a manufacturing operations consultant. In 2000 he became the general manager and vice president of Trola-Dyne, Inc., a manufacturing company in York.
Kirkhoff married Suzanne Hackman ’77, M’98, and they had two daughters:?Ely, who is currently a sophomore at LVC, and Laine. He served the local community as a coach and president of the Hershey Youth Soccer Association.
