Zeigler studied the historical-political program during his time at The Valley. He participated in baseball throughout his college career and served as team captain his junior year. He was distinguished as “the best player that has ever worn the L.V. uniform” following the 1916 season and recognized for his batting average and extra-base hits following the 1917 season. He also played tennis for two years and was a champion his junior year. Zeigler was very involved with athletics during his time on campus as he participated in the class teams for baseball, football, and track and sat on the football reserve squad as well.
