Joann Giannettino Snider ’90 was a standout for the LVC track & field and cross country teams, winning MAC championships in multiple events during her career.
Quite possibly LVC’s all-time meet point-scoring leader, Snider competed and excelled at the long jump, triple jump, sprint and intermediate hurdles, and sprints and relays, all while running cross country in the fall. She won indoor and outdoor MAC titles in the long jump and the outdoor 400m hurdles, and as a junior and senior, she would routinely compete (and score) in eight or nine events per meet.
Today, Snider is still on LVC’s top-10 list in multiple events, including second in the 400m hurdles, third in the long jump (both indoors and outdoors), and eighth in high jump.
