Glenda Shetter Arnold was named ‘most athletic’ for her contributions on the field hockey team. The 1987 team had an undefeated season and went to the MAC playoffs and the ECAC tournament. Shetter Arnold was among three players that received individual recognition for her contributions. At the awards ceremony for 1988, Shetter Arnold was named ‘Outstanding Woman Athlete’ and ‘Most Valuable Player’ for the field hockey and softball teams. She was also a member of the First Team for the Southeast League in the Field Hockey All-Conference team for 1985 and 1987. She was awarded for being a member of the 1987 MAC Fall All-Academic Team, and the National All-American Field Hockey Division III First Team.
