Men’s Golf Starts Strong at Charger Invitational

LEBANON, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Men's Golf team had a strong round with a team score of 319 on Monday afternoon at the Lebanon Country Club to sit third out of seven teams after the first day of the Charger Invitational hosted by Lancaster Bible College.
 
The Dutchmen equaled their lowest round of the spring and recorded the best round of golf on their home course this year. LVC is third behind Hood College and Elizabethtown College. Hood had a score of 307 while Elizabethtown scored a 312. Lancaster Bible is fourth with a score of 321 and Rutgers-Camden rounds out the top five with a score of 324.
 
Inside the Results
  • Reagan Flynn is tied for ninth in the field with a six-over par 78. He was one-over with a 37 on the front nine holes and had a 41 on the back nine. Flynn birdied three holes and had nine pars on the afternoon. He had birdies on the par-four first hole, the par-five second hole, and the par-four 13th hole.
  • Brandon Staniszewski is also ninth as he carded a 78 matching Flynn with a one-over 37 on the front nine and a 41 on the back nine holes. He had 11 pars and birdied the par-five second hole.
  • Blake Dustin carded an 80 and is currently 14th. He was the third Dutchmen with a one-over 37 on the front nine and had a 43 on the back. Dustin birdied the par-five second hole and the par-three third hole. He added eight pars on the round.
  • Brayden Herr had an 83 to sit tied for 19th. He carded a 40 on the front nine and a 43 on the back nine holes. Herr had six pars and birdied the par-five seventh hole and the par-five 15th hole.
  • Lukas Bartek recorded a 95 on the afternoon. He had a 45 on the front nine and a 50 on the back with five pars.
  • Braden Bohannon finished with a 96. He carded a 50 on the front nine and a 46 on the back nine. Bohannon had two pars and birdied the par-five second hole.
Up Next
LVC will be back at the Lebanon Country Club tomorrow afternoon for the second ad final round of the Charger Invitational. The round will begin at 12 p.m. with a shotgun start.
