Herr and Flynn Lead Men’s Golf at Northampton Cup

EASTON, Pa. – Brayden Herr and Reagan Flynn each carded an 80 to lead the Lebanon Valley men's golf team at The Northampton Cup hosted by Albright College on Tuesday at the Northampton Country Club in Easton.
 
Albright topped the field of 15 teams with a score of 298. Moravian University finished second at 299, while Susquehanna University finished third with a score of 301. Marymount was right behind them with a 302. The Dutchmen finished 12th with a 333. There were four other MAC Freedom teams in the field, with Stevens Institute of Technology's "B" squad finishing first of the four in eighth with a score of 317, and Arcadia University was 10th with a 324. Susquehanna's Jax Puskar and Moravian's Zach Miller had the best rounds in the field of 78 golfers with a three-under 69 each.
 
Inside the Results
  • All five Dutchmen golfers started on hole 10.
  • Brayden Herr recorded an 80 for the second consecutive invitational to finish in a tie for 29th. The sophomore had three birdies and six pars. He birdied the par-three fourth hole, the par-four ninth hole, and the par-five 15th hole. Herr carded a four-over-40 on the front nine holes and a four-over-40 on the back nine.
  • Flynn carded an 80 to tie for 29th. He had a strong finish with a two-over 38 on the front nine and a 42 on the back nine holes. The sophomore had 12 pars on the afternoon, including five straight to end the round.
  • Lewis Dieffenbach finished with an 86 to finish tied for 59th. He carded a 44 on the front nine and a 42 on the back nine. Dieffenbach recorded six pars, including four out of his first nine holes.
  • Brody Rafferty carded an 87 in a tie for 64th place. The first-year overcame a slow start and had eight pars, including five on his final nine holes. Rafferty had a 43 on the front nine and a 44 on the back nine.
  • Patrick Devine had a 93 to finish tied for 75th. He had five pars for the afternoon. The first-year carded a 43 on the front nine and a 50 on the back nine.
Up Next
The Dutchmen will be in action this weekend as they compete in the Cardinals Fall Classic on Saturday and Sunday. Both rounds will begin at 12 p.m. at the Black Rock Golf Course in Hagerstown, Maryland.
