HERSHEY, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College men's golf team had another strong day to begin the year on Tuesday afternoon as the Dutchmen competed at the Elizabethtown Fall Invitational on the East Course at Hershey Country Club in Hershey.
LVC fielded two teams in the event with the "A" team posting a score of 323 and the "B" team recording a 337. Moravian University topped the field of 10 teams with a score of 301. Elizabethtown's "A" team was second at 306. Moravian's Zach Miller and Penn State Berks' Peyton Moyer tied for the best score of the day with an even par 71.
Inside the Results
- LVC's "A" team consisted of Reagan Flynn, Max Fisher Brady Keath, Brayden Herr, and Brody Rafferty. The "B" team had Grady Olson, Jake Bowen-Ashwin, Cole Dacey, Connor Rowe, and Lewis Dieffenbach. Zachary Fritz and Jared Swope competed as independent golfers.
- Flynn finished with an 80 recording a 42 on the front nine and a three-over 38 on the back nine. He had eight pars and a birdie on the par-four seventh hole.
- Fisher, Keath, and Herr all recorded 81s. All three had a 42 on the front nine and a 39 on the back nine. Fisher recorded eight pars and a birdie on the par-three 16th hole. Keath had 10 pars while Herr carded 11 pars.
- Rafferty was a couple strokes off with an 83. He had a 41 on the front nine and a 42 on the back nine with eight pars.
- Olson carded an 80 with a 38 on the front nine and a 42 on the back nine. He posted 10 pars and a birdie on the par-five sixth hole.
- Bowen-Ashwin finished with an 84 in his first collegiate round. He had a 42 on the front nine and a 42 on the back nine with six pars.
- Dacey had an 85 in his first round. The first-year carded a 40 on the front nine and a 45 on the back nine with eight pars and his first career birdie on the par-four fifth hole.
- Rowe posted an 88 in his first collegiate round. The sophomore had a 46 on the front nine and a 42 on the back nine with eight pars.
- Fritz posted an 89 in his first collegiate round, Dieffenbach carded a 92, and Swope had a 93 in his first round. Fritz had a 44 on the front nine and a 45 on the back nine with seven pars. Dieffenbach recorded a 45 on the front nine and a 47 on the back with three pars and a birdie on the par-three eighth hole. Swope had a 51 on the front nine and a 42 on the back nine with two pars and birdies on the par-four fourth hole and the par-four 12th hole.

LVC will be off until Tuesday, September 29, when they will travel to the Susquehanna Valley Country Club for the Susquehanna Fall Invitational in Hummels Wharf.
