In accordance with the NCAA, the Lebanon Valley College Athletic Department is committed to addressing racial justice and equity among our coaches, staff, and administrators. The goals of the action items are to provide the tools that foster a culture that advances racial equity and improves ways to engage student-athletes, particularly our BIPOC student-athletes.
- Conduct or host programming for coaches, staff, and administrators in collaboration with HR, Student Affairs, and the Office of Culture, Community & Belonging
- Review policies and procedures (and other manuals) for inclusive language
- Implement unconscious bias training for all coaches, staff, and administrators and add it as a part of the onboarding process for new coaches, staff, and administrators
- Engage and provide service to the local community

2. LGBTQ
LGBTQ individuals often face unique challenges, including self-acceptance and acceptance by others, health and safety, and limited legal protections. The LVC Athletic Department is committed to providing education and resources that support LGBTQ students and the coaches and administrators who teach and lead them. We strive to assist coaches, staff and administrators with developing inclusive cultures that allow all persons to be their true and best selves.
