NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) announced the All-MAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Teams and special awards following the conclusion of the three-day championship meet on May 3. The Dutchmen had 13 All-Conference performances at the meet with eight different individuals earning 10 honors and all three relays earning a spot on the teams.
The Dutchmen won their second consecutive MAC title and had five First Team honorees, four Second Team performances, and four Third Team performances.
Rory Lieberman earned All-Conference honors in two events as he won the 5000 Meters in 14:49.32 to earn First Team honors and finished third in the 1500 Meters with a career-best time of 3:58.06 to earn Third Team honors. The sophomore won his third MAC Championship of the year after winning the cross country championship and the mile during the indoor season. He is the first Dutchman to win the 5K at the conference meet since Jeff Koegel in 1995. His medal in the 1500 was the first for LVC in the event since 2017 when Nicholas Scullin also finished third.
Joe Chukoskie also won a pair of medals as he won the 10,000 Meters to earn First Team honors and finished third in the 5000 Meters to earn Third Team honors. The junior gave LVC its second MAC Champion in the 10K in the past three years with a time of 31:13.46. It is his second MAC title of the year after winning the 5000 meters at the indoor meet. Chukoskie found his way onto the medal stand again as he ran 14:53.60 in the 5k to give the Dutchmen two medals in the event for the first time in program history.
Elijah McKell won his fifth consecutive conference title in the 800 Meters to earn First Team honors with a career-best time of 1:52.19 in the final. The junior won his third Outdoor title after qualifying for the final with a time of 1:54.76 in the preliminaries.
Eric Shelton won the 3000 Steeplechase in 9:24.14 to earn First Team honors. His victory gave LVC its fourth conference title in the event in the past four years after
Noah Griffin won three straight from 2021-23. Shelton earned his third All-MAC First Team honor of the year after also being on the First Team at the Cross Country Championships and being a member of the winning 4x800 team at the Indoor Championships.
Michael De Falcis won his second career Javelin title and First Team honors with a school-record throw of 64.27 meters (210'10") on his sixth attempt. The senior, who also won the event in 2023, gave LVC its third consecutive MAC Champion in the event.
LVC had two medalists in the Javelin for the second consecutive year as
Nick Guerieri finished second to earn Second Team honors with a career-best toss of 62.63 meters (205'6") on his sixth attempt. The senior also finished second last year as he earned his second All-MAC honor.
Aonghas Evanick finished second in the Discus to earn Second Team honors with a throw of 47.11 meters (154'7") on his fourth toss. He earned his first career All-Conference honor and became LVC's first All-MAC finisher in the event since Dylan Yost in 2017.
The 4x400 Relay team of
Donovan Goundie,
Matt Bruchak,
Alec Di Cesare, and McKell finished second in a school-record 3:18.20 to earn Second Team honors. This is the second consecutive year the Dutchmen have finished second in the relay.
The 4x800 Relay team of
Lukas Walko,
Sam Rothstein, Di Cesare, and McKell earned Second Team honors with a second-place finish in 7:45.02. That time is second in program history and gave LVC a medal in the event for the fourth consecutive year.
Ayden Stankus finished third in the Pole Vault with a height of 4.52 meters (14'10") to earn Third Team honors. The senior earned his second consecutive All-MAC honor in the event.
The 4x100 Relay team of Goundie,
Daniel Murtha, Stankus, and
Colin Winters finished third with a season-best time of 41.95 seconds in the final to earn Third Team honors. LVC qualified for the final with a time of 42.47 seconds in the preliminaries. The time in the finals is the second-fastest in program history and gave LVC a medal in the event for the third time in the past four years.
Lebanon Valley won the program's second consecutive team title with 139 points.
Melissa Byler was selected as the Coach of the Year. York's Taylor Stone and Misericordia's Kyle Suponcic were selected as the Co-Assistant Coaches of the Year. Misericordia's Richard Billings was named Track Athlete of the Year and York's Andrew Mott was named Field Athlete of the Year. Stevens' Ethan Stallone was named the Rookie of the Year.
