SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley Outdoor Track and Field teams finished up the regular season on a windy Saturday as the Dutchmen competed at the Paul Kaiser Classic on the campus on Shippensburg University.
Track Highlights
Owen Linder ran a career-best time of 10.88 seconds in the 100 meters to finish fifth in preliminaries. He did not run in the final. Linder's time is sixth on the program's Top 10 list and qualifies him for the MAC and AARTFC Championships in the event.
Avrey Grimm also qualified for the MAC Championships with a time of 11.23 seconds.
Elijah McKell finished third in the men's 800 meters with a time of 1:54.22.
Rory Lieberman was third in the men's 1500 meters with a MAC qualifying time of 4:00.22. His time is sixth in the program record books.
Eric Shelton was eighth with a career-best time of 4:02.27. His time just missed the Top 10 List.
Sam Rothstein was right behind him in 4:02.82 while
Andrew Namatka ran a MAC qualifying time of 4:10.16.
Autumn Garges was second in the women's 1500 with a time of 4:47.44 while
Abigail Hunt was seventh in a career-best 4:50.27. Hunt's time is 10th in the program record books.
Kaylee Senglar ran a MAC qualifying time of 5:02.02. Lucas Walko finished seventh in the men's 3000 meters with a career-best time of 9:04.38 while
Wyatt Leitzel was eighth in a career-best 9:17.00. Walko's time is fourth in the program's record books while Leitzel's time is eighth.
Daniel Murtha finished third in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.16 seconds. The senior ran 14.99 seconds in the preliminaries. The men's 4x100 meter relay team of
Donovan Goundie, Murtha,
Ayden Stankus, and
Colin Winters finished third with a time of 42.24 seconds. Their time is third in the program record books. The women's 4x100 relay team of
Darrian Berkheimer,
Ava Matter,
Karina Reilly, and
Mileyska Calderon finished fifth in a season-best 49.15 seconds. Their time is fifth in program history.
Field Highlights
Stankus finished fourth in the men's pole vault with a height of 4.80 meters (15'9").
Emma Evans had a career-best height in women's pole vault at 3.00 meters (9'10"). Her height is tied for 10th on the program Top 10 List.
Tola Oyinkolade had a career-best mark in the long jump at 5.14 meters (16'10.5") on her third jump. Her mark is eighth in the program record books.
Aonghas Evanick had a career-best discus throw of 47.26 meters (155'1") on his fifth attempt to finish fourth. His mark is second in program history. The senior was also eighth in the hammer with a toss of 45.79 meters (150'3") on his fifth throw.
Alyssa Betz was eighth in the women's discus with a mark of 38.24 meters (125'5") on her first attempt.
Lauren Assante finished seventh in the women's hammer with a throw of 42.59 meters (139'9") on her first attempt.
Nick Guerieri won the men's javelin with a mark of 61.48 meters (201'8") on his third toss.
Michael De Falcis was fourth with a toss of 58.82 meters (193'0") on his sixth attempt.
Ian Paul finished fifth with a mark of 58.15 meters (190'9") on his second attempt.
Kaitlyn Snyder was fifth in the women's javelin with a toss of 35.90 meters (117'9") on her first throw.
Up Next
The Dutchmen will compete at the MAC Championships next weekend at York College of Pennsylvania. The three-day Championships will begin on Thursday and conclude on Saturday.
