MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley women's outdoor track and field team had another strong weekend as the team competed at the Millersville Metrics on Saturday afternoon and a couple of distance runners competed on Friday evening at the Danny Curran Invitational.
MAC AND AARTFC QUALIFIERS AND OTHER TOP PERFORMANCES
Tori Hunyara ran 12.96 seconds and
Darrian Berkheimer had a time of 13.05 seconds to qualify for the MAC Championships in the 100 meters. Berkheimer also qualified in the 200 meters with a time of 26.06 seconds to finish fifth.
Alyssa Peiffer ran 1:02.99 in the 400 meters to qualify for the MAC Championships. The Dutchmen had two qualifiers in the 1500 meters as
Autumn Garges ran 5:05.21 and
Sierra Kapcsos had a time of 5:11.87. The women's 4x100 meter relay team of
Emily Oriel, Berkheimer, Peiffer, and Hunyara ran an AARTFC qualifying time of 50.56 seconds to finish fourth of nine teams.
On Friday evening at Widener,
Lauren Bunke finished second in the 5000 meters with a MAC and AARTFC qualifying time of 17:57.73.
Coyla Bartholomew wasn't too far behind her in 18:29.97 to finish seventh and qualify for both championships. In the 10K,
Anna Donnelly ran a MAC qualifying time of 41:13.97 while
Aleah Hoffman also ran a qualifying time of 44:13.60.
Melena Koutch finished sixth in the high jump at Millersville with a height of 1.50 meters (4''11"). Oriel qualified for the MAC Championships in the pole vault with a height of 3.20 meters (10'6") to finish tied for fourth.
Rachel Snavely finished seventh with a MAC qualifying height of 3.20 meters (10'6").
Greta Plechner was a new MAC qualifier in the shot put with a mark of 9.72 meters (31'10.75") on her second toss.
Caroline Reed qualified in the discus with a mark of 29.57 meters (97'0") on her third attempt.
Ashley Bartels finished fifth in the hammer with a throw of 45.88 meters (150'6") on her sixth attempt.
Mackenze Spence was a MAC qualifier in the event with a mark of 32.50 meters (106'7") on her third throw.
INTO THE RECORD BOOKS
Berkheimer moved into the 200 meters record book with her time of 26.06 seconds which is ninth in program history. Oriel and Snavely are tied for fourth in the pole vault with their heights of 3.20 meters. Bunke's 5K time of 17:57.73 is third in the record book while Bartholomew is now eighth with a time of 18:29.97. Donnelly is seventh in the 10K with her time of 41:13.97.

The Dutchmen will compete on Wednesday at York College of Pennsylvania in the York Twilight Meet.
