Track & Field Teams Shine Under Lights at York Twilight Meet

YORK, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley outdoor track and field teams had an outstanding performance on Wednesday with 20 top-five finishes at the York Twilight Meet on Wednesday on the campus of York College of Pennsylvania in York.
 
Track Events
Mileyska Calderon finished third in the women's 100 meters with a career-best time of 12.52 seconds. Her time is sixth in the program record books and qualifies her for the MAC and AARTFC Championships in the event. Ava Matter finished third in the women's 200 meters with a time of 25.75 seconds. Abbie Reed qualified for the MAC Championships in the event with a career-best time of 27.15 seconds. Caleb Auzenne finished fifth in the men's 200 with a time of 22.47 seconds. Leo Tirado ran a career-best and MAC-qualifying time of 22.49 seconds, while Colin Winters also qualified for the conference championships with a time of 22.96 seconds.
 
Elijah McKell ran a MAC qualifying time in the men's 400 meters, crossing the line in a career-best 50.52 seconds. Lukas Walko and Owen Kreider qualified for the MAC Championships in the 800 meters, both running career-best times. Walko finished in 1:56.71 while Kreider ran 1:58.67. Sam Rothstein was third in the men's 1500 meters with a MAC qualifying time of 4:04.43. Sierra Kapcsos ran a MAC qualifying time of 5:02.29 in the women's 1500.
 
Autumn Garges won the women's 5000 meters in a career-best time of 17:44.89. Her time is a MAC and AARTFC Championships qualifier, as well as the third-best time in the program record books. Abigail Hunt finished fifth in an AARTFC and MAC qualifying time of 18:25.24. Kaylee Senglar just missed qualifying for the AARTFC Championships with a MAC qualifying time of 18:35.59. Wyatt Leitzel finished fourth in the men's 5000, running a MAC qualifying time of 15:17.70.
 
Reed finished third in the women's 100-meter hurdles with an AARTFC qualifying time of 15.60 seconds. Anna Sawicki qualified for the MAC and AARTFC Championships in the event with a career-best time of 15.61 seconds to finish fourth. Her time is fifth in the program record books. Mikayla Mitchell was fifth in a career-best 15.77 seconds. That is sixth on the program's Top 10 list. Joshua Leidich crossed the line fifth in the men's 110-hurdles with a time of 15.93 seconds. The men's 4x100 meter relay team of Donovan Goundie, Tirado, Auzenne, and Winters won in a season-best time of 41.48 seconds. That time is second in program history.
 
Field Events
Evan Donough qualified for the MAC Championships in the men's high jump with a height of 1.80 meters (5'10.75"). Tola Oyinkolade was second in the women's long jump with a mark of 5.16 meters (16'11.25") on her third jump. The sophomore also finished second in the women's triple jump with a career-best jump of 10.87 meters (35'8") on her first attempt. That mark moves her up to fifth in the school record books. Chloe Grady was fifth at a career-best 10.54 meters (34'7") on her second jump. Her mark is tied for 10th in the record books.
 
Aonghas Evanick finished fourth in the men's discus with a toss of 44.62 meters (146'4") on his third attempt. The graduate student had a career-best toss of 14.58 meters (47'10") on his third throw in the shot put. That mark is 10th in the program record books. Sawicki finished second in the women's shot put with a MAC qualifying mark of 11.93 meters (39'1.75") on her first attempt.
 
Sawicki qualified for the AARTFC and MAC Championships in the women's javelin with a big career best throw of 36.79 meters (120'8") on her second attempt to finish third. Her mark is fourth in program history. Joie Connolly finished fourth with a mark of 34.04 meters (111'8") on her fourth throw. Michael De Falcis was fifth in the men's javelin with a heave of 52.45 meters (172'01") on his sixth throw. McCauley Cranmer had a MAC qualifying and career-best mark of 46.53 meters (152'8") on his first throw.
 
Up Next
The Dutchmen will compete at Messiah University during the three-day Messiah Multi/Invitational next week. The multi-events will occur on Thursday, April 9, and Friday, April 10, with the rest of the Invitational occurring on Saturday, April 11, at the Starry Complex in Grantham.
