NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Lebanon Valley track & field teams earned All-Academic awards from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2026 season, as announced by the association in a release this week. A total of four Dutchmen student-athletes were honored as individuals, and both teams were recognized for academics.
 
In order to be named an All-Academic Team a team must have a Cumulative team GPA of all student-athletes who used a season of eligibility of at least a 3.1 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent semester/quarter. The Dutchmen women's team has a 3.54 team GPA while the men's team has a 3.35 team GPA.
 
The four Dutchmen who earned individual honors are Coyla Bartholomew, Michael De Falcis, Wyatt Leitzel, and Anna Sawicki.
 
In order to be named an All-Academic Athlete a student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale through the most recently completed grading period and met one of the two athletic criteria:

• Must have finished the season among the top 50 individuals as listed on the descending order lists on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 50, but who participated at the Indoor or Outdoor National Championships, are eligible.
• Must have competed as a member of one of the top 35 relay teams as listed on the descending order list on TFRRS. In addition, any athletes not among the top 35 relay teams, but who participated in the relay at the Indoor or Outdoor National Championships, are eligible. Finally, any competing relay team member on an expanded descending order list to include 35 institutions (1 relay team per institution) is eligible.

Bartholomew is a senior Physical Therapy major who earns her third consecutive All-Academic honor. She finished 31st in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a school-record time of 10:55.02 at the Widener Final Qualifier.
 
De Falcis is a graduate student earning his Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy who earns his fourth career All-Academic honor. He finished third in the javelin at the NCAA National Championships with the 11th-best mark in Division III history at 70.16 meters (230'2") and was sixth in the nation during the qualifying season with a throw of 66.15 meters (217'0") to win the Middle Atlantic Conference title at the conference meet.
 
Leitzel is a sophomore Business Administration major who earns his first career All-Academic honor. He finished 35th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:13.40 at the Widener Final Qualifier.
 
Sawicki is a sophomore Exercise Science major who earns her second consecutive All-Academic honor. She was a two-time All-American this year starting with a sixth-place finish in the pentathlon at the Indoor Championships with a school record point total of 3,578. She had the 18th-best total during the qualifying season at 3459 to win her second consecutive MAC Championship with another meet record. Sawicki was also 46th in the high jump during the indoor season with a height of 1.63 meters (5'4.25") that she accomplished during the pentathlon at the MAC Championships. The sophomore then finished 14th in the heptathlon at the Outdoor Championships with a point total of 4,681. She qualified with the 17th-best total of 4,740 points at the AARTFC Championships.
