Calderon Sets Long Jump Record at Widener

CHESTER, Pa. – Mileyska Calderon broke the school long jump record as the Lebanon Valley track and field teams had another strong showing this weekend at the Paul Donahue Invitational on the campus of Widener University.
 
Calderon won the women's long jump with a school record mark of 5.64 meters (18'6") on her fifth attempt. She bested the previous record of 5.56 meters (18'3.25") that was recorded by Jen Nauss in 1995. Her mark also moves her into the top 20 of the national rankings in the event. Tola Oyinkolade finished fourth with a career-best jump of 5.46 meters (17'11") on her third jump. Her mark is third in program history. Calderon and Oyinkolade qualified for the AARTFC Championships in the even with their marks.
 
Sam Rothstein ran a career-best 1500 meters time of 3:59.50. His time is seventh on the program's Top 10 List and qualified him for the AARTFC Championships. Autumn Garges ran a season-best 800 meters time of 2:17.05 to qualify for the AARTFC Championships in the event. Coyla Bartholomew finished fourth in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a MAC and AARTFC Championships qualifying time of 11:14.80. Donnie Miller also qualified for the steeplechase at both championships with a time of 9:40.45. Charlee Kurtz, Dani Fetterolf, and Caroline Borleis were new MAC qualifiers in the women's 5000 meters. Kurtz ran 18:24.35, Fetterolf finished in 19:43.65, and Borleis crossed the line in 19:43.67. Kurtz was also a qualifier for the AARTFC Championships. Andrew Namatka, Lukas Walko, Wyatt Leitzel, and Rory Lieberman qualified for the MAC and AARTFC Championships in the men's 5,000 meters. Namatka led the way with a career-best time of 14:46.20. Walko ran a career-best 14:49.73, Leitzel crossed the line in a career-best 14:50.79, and Lieberman finished in 14:58.80. Namatka's time is fourth in the program record books, Walko moved up to fifth, and Leitzel is sixth.

Colin Winters finished sixth in the men's 100 meters with a time of 10.90 seconds. Mikayla Mitchell ran a career-best time of 15.71 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles. Her time is sixth in the program record books. Joshua Leidich ran an AARTFC qualifying time of 15.39 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles. The women's 4x400 meter relay team of Ava Matter, Abbie Reed, Gabby Welter, and Calderon finished fifth with a season-best time of 3:56.76. Their time is in the top 35 of the nation this season and is third in the program record books. The men's squad of Donovan Goundie, Sam Rothstein, Hayden Milchanowski, and Elijah McKell ran a time of 3:20.12. That time is fourth in the program record books. Both relays qualified for the AARTFC Championships.
  
Dylan Duncan had a career-best height of 4.20 meters (13'9.25") in the pole vault. His clearance moves him into the record books at eighth. Aonghas Evanick had a season-best toss of 46.81 meters (153'7") on his fourth attempt to finish second in the discus. Michael De Falcis finished second in the men's javelin with a toss of 56.38 meters (184'11") on his second throw.
 
The Dutchmen will close out the regular season next Saturday, April 25, at Shippensburg University with the annual Paul Kaiser Classic.
