Busy Weekend Results in 25 New Conference and Regional Qualifiers

GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley track & field teams competed at three different meets this weekend, resulting in 25 new Middle Atlantic Conference Championships and AARTFC Championship qualifiers. The Dutchmen had two multi student-athletes compete at Susquehanna's River Hawk Multi on Thursday and Friday before the rest of the team competed at the Messiah Invitational and the Bison Outdoor Classic over the weekend.
 
Susquehanna Highlights
Anna Sawicki finished third in the orange section of the heptathlon with a MAC and AARTFC qualifying 4603 points. Her point total is just four points shy of her program record and is currently 10th in the nation this spring. The sophomore had a strong two days as she recorded a career-best long jump mark of 5.03 meters (16'6") and was just shy of her career-best in the other six events.
 
Graison Michajluk finished fifth in the maroon section of the decathlon with a career-best total of 5345 points. He qualified for both the MAC and AARTFC Championships with his total. It is also the third-best performance in program history. He recorded a career-best height of 1.93 meters (6'4") in the high jump, a career-best height of 3.60 meters (11'9.75"0 in the pole vault, and a career-best time of 11.60 seconds in the 100 meters. His high jump height was also an AARTFC qualifier and is 10th in the program record books.
 
Messiah Highlights
Ava Matter ran a program-record time of 12.26 seconds in the 100 meters to finish third. Her time broke the previous record of 12.43 seconds that Ines Antensteiner ran in 2012. It is also the top time in the MAC this year. Matter ran 12.38 seconds in the preliminaries. Mileyska Calderon finished fourth with a career-best time of 12.29 seconds after running 12.27 seconds in the prelims. Her time is the second-fastest in program history. Colin Winters finished third in the men's 100 meters with a season-best time of 10.73 seconds. Caleb Auzenne was fifth in a career-best 10.92 seconds. His time is 10th in the program record books. Winters ran a time of 10.77 seconds in the preliminaries, while Auzenne ran 10.93 seconds.
 
Matter finished second in the 200 meters with a new AARTFC qualifying time of 25.28 seconds. Her career best time is second in program history. Hayden Milchanowski was a new MAC qualifier in the 200 meters with a time of 22.44 seconds. He also qualified for the conference championships in the 400 meters at 51.50 seconds. Donovan Goundie finished fourth in the 400 with a time of 49.54 seconds.
 
Sierra Kapcsos and Lila Shore ran MAC qualifying times in the 800 meters. Kapcsos crossed the line in 2:24.27 while Shore ran 2:26.17. Liam Allen and Dylan Lenhart were new MAC qualifiers in the 10,000 meters. Allen ran 34:17.15 while Lenhart crossed the line in 34:20.02. Abbie Reed finished fourth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:08.50. Nina Milosevic qualified for the MAC Championships in the 3000 steeplechase with a career-best time of 13:12.41.
 
Tola Oyinkolade finished fourth in the long jump with a mark of 5.20 meters (17'0.75") on her second jump. The sophomore was also fourth in the triple jump at 10.78 meters (35'4.5") on her second attempt. Taijay Brown qualified for the MAC Championships in the triple jump with a mark of 11.71 meters (38'5") on his first jump.
 
Aonghas Evanick won the discus with a season-best toss of 45.57 meters (149'6") on his third throw. Jordan Klinger was fifth with a season-best throw of 43.09 meters (141'4") on his second attempt. His mark is fifth in the program record books. Jacob Hehn was a new MAC qualifier at 36.46 meters (119'7") on his third toss. Evanick also finished fifth in the hammer with a mark of 46.74 meters (153'4") on his second attempt. Bo Wheeler was a new MAC qualifier in the event with a toss of 35.66 meters (117'0") on his first throw. Michael De Falcis had a toss of 57.09 meters (187'4") on his first attempt in the javelin to finish third. Joie Connolly was third in the women's event with a throw of 36.30 meters (119'1") on her second attempt.
 
Bucknell Highlights
Autumn Garges ran a MAC and AARTFC qualifying time of 4:42.43 in the 1500 meters. Abigail Hunt qualified for the MAC Championships with a time of 4:54.17. Coyla Bartholomew qualified for both championships in the 5000 meters with a career-best time of 17:30.04. Her time is the second-fastest in program history.
 
Elijah McKell ran a MAC and AARTFC qualifying time of 1:54.52 in the 800 meters. Sam Rothstein also ran a MAC qualifying time of 1:56.91. Wyatt Leitzel qualified for both championships in the 3000 steeplechase with a time of 9:20.47 to finish 13th out of 59. His career-best time is third in program history. Andrew Namatka finished second out of 19 runners in the 3000 meters with a school record time of 8:41.99. Lukas Walko was right behind him in third place with a career-best time of 8:44.51. Walko was the record holder in the event, running 8:46.34 at the Mini Home Meet this spring.
