Owen Buhr finishing first in relay

Buhr Named USTFCCCA Mid-Atlantic Track Athlete Of The Year

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced Lebanon Valley senior Owen Buhr as the Men's Outdoor Track and Field Track Athlete of the Year following the conclusion of the regular season.
 
Buhr will be competing at the NCAA Championships in the 400-meter hurdles this weekend after running a school record 52.91 seconds at the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet last week. His time is the ninth-fastest in Division III this year. The senior was voted as the Middle Atlantic Conference Track Athlete of the Year a few weeks ago after winning three golds and one silver medal at the conference championships.
 
He scored 28 individual points for the Dutchmen and was a part of two relay teams that scored 15 points. Buhr won the 110-meter hurdles and 200 meters and was the anchor leg on the 4x100 relay that finished first. He finished second in the 100 meters and was the leadoff leg on the 4x400 relay that finished fourth.
 
Buhr finished the regular season ranked in the top 10 of the region in five different individual events. He was fifth in the 100 meters with a time of 10.77 seconds, ninth in the 200 meters with a time of 22.08 seconds, and sixth in the 400 meters with a time of 49.88 seconds. In the hurdles, he was sixth in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.23 seconds and had the fastest time in the 400 hurdles at 52.91 seconds.
