How It HappenedLebanon Valley blanked Franklin & Marshall 2-0 in its 2015 season opener on Saturday afternoon at Herbert Field.
The Dutchmen dominated the first half and kept the ball in F&M's zone for the most part, but had nothing to show for it as the teams went into halftime locked at 0-0. With just under 41 minutes remaining in the contest, however, LVC finally broke through when
Sammy Bost went one-on-one with a defender and ripped a shot that was saved by F&M's Letner, but the rebound came right to Bost and she cranked a ball that hit off Letner's hands and into the back of the net for the 1-0 lead.
Later in the second with 21:30 to go, the Dutchmen added an insurance goal
Johnna Garbrick drove down the left side and hit a bad-angle shot which found the back-right corner of the net for the 2-0 LVC advantage as the Dutchmen went on to win by the same score.
LVC was tenacious on defense the entire game, as
Erin Angelini faced just one shot, which was a simple save.
Inside the Numbers - Bost led the offense attack with four shots, while Garbrick and
Kristin Robeson each fired off two shots for LVC.
 - Kyra Judge had the Diplomats' loan shot on goal and Kim Kornbluth had one shot that did not count as a shot on goal
