Lebanon Valley 7, Stevenson 10
STEVENSON, Md. – Conference newcomers Stevenson are bringing some clout to the Commonwealth this season, and Lebanon Valley witnessed it firsthand in a 10-7 road loss Thursday night.
The Dutchmen (5-12, 2-3 CC) took an early lead with a two-run second inning.
Dylan Tamecki scored on a throwing error and
John Hildebrand had an RBI single to get the scoring started. The lead was short lived – as Stevenson punched four runs in the bottom frame of the inning.
LVC had two more big innings with a two-run sixth and three-run eighth.
Corey Cinicola and
Andrew DeCew had RBIs in the sixth. They both came up with big at bats in the ninth, too, with Cinicola doubling in a run and DeCew plating two more with a double of his own.
Derek Brousseau, Tamecki,
Jordan Higgins, and Cinicola each came up with multiple-hit games.
Jimmie Miller made the start on the mound, pitching 7.1 innings and allowing eight of Stevenson's 10 runs. He allowed 10 hits and three walks with a hit batter. He struck out two. Brousseau moved up from center field to pitch the final two outs but allowed two more runs in the process.
Stevenson will head to Annville for a doubleheader at McGill Field Friday. Game time is at noon.
