GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Lebanon Valley baseball team was announced as a recipient of the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack. the organization announced in a release on Wednesday.
 
In order to be honored by the ABCA, teams must meet the following criteria of being either a college or high school team, the head coach is a current ABCA member, and the team must have a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year. LVC was one of nearly 500 college programs across all three NCAA divisions and NAIA to be recognized.
 
The Dutchmen earned the award for the sixth consecutive year and seventh time in the past eight years. This spring the squad had an outstanding semester in the classroom with 28 student-athletes earning a spot on the MAC Academic Honor Roll including three with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
 
The American Baseball Coaches Association has a long tradition of recognizing the achievements of baseball coaches and student-athletes. The ABCA/Rawlings All-America Teams are the nation's oldest, founded in 1949, and the ABCA's awards program also includes the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Awards, the ABCA/ATEC Regional & National Coaches of the Year and several other major awards such as the ABCA Hall of Fame and the Dave Keilitz Ethics in Coaching Award.
