NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College baseball team was honored by the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) on Monday, May 11, as the conference office announced that two members of the program were selected to the 2026 All-MAC Freedom Baseball Team. Sophomore catcher and outfielder Kody Phillips was named to the First Team as a utility player, while senior infielder and pitcher Owen Berry was recognized on the Second Team as a shortstop.
Phillips was chosen to the All-MAC Freedom Team for the first time in his career, following an excellent sophomore campaign for the Dutchmen. This spring, the sophomore led the program with 24 walks and tied for the team lead in RBIs with 30. Phillips had a great spring with 14 doubles, a .320 batting average, a .447 on-base percentage, 23 runs scored, seven hit-by-pitches, a .903 OPS, and a .456 slugging percentage. In the MAC Freedom, the sophomore tied for fourth in doubles and tied for sixth in walks. Phillips delivered several impactful performances during the campaign, including when he set career-highs with four hits, three doubles, four RBIs, and four runs scored in the 15-0 seven-inning victory over King's College on March 14. The sophomore also recorded three hits, including a grand slam, to tie a career-high four RBIs in the 7-5 win at Misericordia University on April 18. Phillips was honored for his production during the season, as he received the MAC Freedom Player of the Week award on March 17.
Berry earned All-Conference honors for the second time in his career, as the shortstop was named to the All-MAC Freedom First Team last year. This season, the senior led the team with 49 hits, 18 doubles, 41 runs scored, and 21 stolen bases. Berry also produced a .340 batting average, a .925 OPS, a .500 slugging percentage, 16 walks, six hit-by-pitches, 21 RBIs, and a .425 on-base percentage. The senior ranked first in the MAC Freedom and tied for seventh in the nation in doubles. He also ranked third in the conference in assists in the field with 97, fourth in stolen bases, tied for fourth in fielding double plays with 21, and ninth in runs scored. The senior's top games of the season included when he recorded a career-high four hits, tied a career-high three RBIs, scored three runs, and stole a base during the 20-0 seven-inning victory over Thiel College on March 7. Berry also logged three hits, a walk, and an RBI, while tying a career-high four runs scored in the 19-8 win over King's on March 14. Additionally, the senior achieved multiple milestones during the campaign. He tallied his 100th career hit and 100th run scored, while stealing his 43rd career base to set LVC's career program record for stolen bases. Berry garnered recognition for his contributions during the spring, collecting MAC Freedom Player of the Week accolades on April 14.
