ANNVILLE, Pa. – Freshman Sammy Bost posted three assists on five goals for the Lebanon Valley women's soccer team in its 5-0 win over Hood on Wednesday afternoon at Herbert Field.

Seven different Dutchmen notched points for LVC, including Bost's three assists, adding to her team-leading 18 points on the year.

Senior Allison Korns recorded her first career goal in the fifth minute as Bost corralled a ball pinballing around in the box and dropped it to the left foot of Korns at the top of the box. The senior finished in the top left corner and gave the Valley a 1-0 lead.

That score would stand through the halftime break before Bost connected with another senior, Sarah Dowhower, to push the lead to 2-0 in the 53rd minute. The rookie finished off her day feeding a third upperclassmen in senior Lindi Crist for the third goal of the game and the 3-0 lead less than 10 minutes later.

Senior Jess Kleeschulte and freshman Laura Zimmerman finished off the scoring in the 64th and 75th minutes as Zimmerman's first career goal made the final score, 5-0.

The LVC defense was stout all day as freshman goalkeeper Taylor Reinhold made just one save in her fourth win of the year and Hood was held to just two shots and no corners.

Next up for the Dutchmen is the annual Pink On The Pitch game against Elizabethtown on Saturday at Herbert Field at noon.
