FORT PIERCE, Fla. - At the end of a 14-inning marathon game,
Derek Brousseau found enough drive to leg out a triple and come around to score to give Lebanon Valley a win in its last game in Florida Friday.
Credit freshman shortstop Phillip Dohner with driving in the gamewinner. Dohner hit a sac fly to center deep enough to drive in the run.
Jacob Rhody singled in the second and scored on a fielder's choice by Andrew Wooley.
Jordan Higgins was hit by a pitch and scored on a single to center by
Ryan Schwartz in the fifth.
Aaron Mills doubled in the seventh and was pulled for pinch runner
Kyle Wenger, who came around to score on a groundout by Higgins two batters later.
Caleb Fick made the start for the Dutchmen, pitching 6.2 innings and allowing the first two runs on seven hits and a walk.
Zack Rex earned the win as the fourth Dutchmen reliever to enter the game. He pitched just two outs in the 14th inning but did not allow a hit.
LVC (4-4) will play at King's on March 13.
