CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Lebanon Valley headed into the ninth inning down 11-4. They fought back for two more runs, but fell to DeSales, 11-6, Wednesday afternoon.

Jordan Higgins reached on an error in the second, and Andrew Wooley advanced him on a single. Both players scored on a two-out, two-run double by Derek Brousseau. Brousseau came around to score the team's third run on a triple by Phillip Dohner.

Tom Rasich came on to pinch hit for Wooley in the seventh. He walked, advanced on a wild pitch, and scored on a double by Ryan Schwartz.

DeSales (5-4) scored seven runs over the second, third, and fourth innings, and two more in both the sixth and eighth to gain the 11-4 lead.

Andrew Germann entered the game in the top of the ninth to pinch hit for Schwartz. He walked and advanced to third on a Colt Zarilla double. Jake Rhody drove in Germann on a groundout, and Jordan Witmer knocked in Zarilla on an RBI single.

Jimmie Miller made the start for the Dutchmen (5-5) but lasted just 3.2 innings. He allowed seven runs (six earned) on seven hits and two walks. He was tagged with the loss.

Mike Specht, Ian Younker, and Zack Rex each pitched in relief.

LVC hosts Messiah in a conference doubleheader Saturday at noon.
