The Dutchmen (19-8, 7-3 CC) struck first in the second inning, with sophomore
Dustin Deibert ripping a triple to deep right field with one out. A sacrifice fly to right field by freshman
Derek Brousseau scored Deibert for the early one run advantage.
Widener (12-8, 7-3 CC) scored three runs in the fourth to claim a two run lead with Alex Oliver scoring from second off a single up the middle by Sean Saverio. A two-run double to left from Tom Connelly scored the runners on second and third base.
LVC had runners on base in the fifth and seventh, but strong pitching from Widener ended both innings with no runs scoring.
The Pride put the game out of reach in the eighth, scoring eight runs for an 11-1 lead. Widener posted three doubles and two singles in the inning, and Tom Connelly led the Pride with four runs batted in.

Caleb Fick started on the mound for Lebanon Valley, pitching seven innings and posting two strikeouts. Brousseau pitched a third of an inning in the eighth, allowing four runs on three hits and notching a strikeout. Senior
Josh Muscalus pitched two-thirds of the eighth and junior
Peter Moro was on the mound for the ninth inning.
The two teams close out a two game series with a doubleheader on Widener's campus Saturday beginning at 12 p.m.
