ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College men's tennis team is ready to begin its spring slate and continue its pursuit of a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom Championship. The Dutchmen are scheduled to play 15 matches, including six home events at the Shankroff Tennis Center.
The Dutchmen are coming off a fall campaign in which they went 3-4 in dual matches, posting victories over the University of Scranton, Marymount University, and Penn State Harrisburg. Entering the spring, Lebanon Valley is ranked second out of six teams with 28 points in the 2026 MAC Freedom Men's Tennis Coaches' Preseason Poll.
"My goals for the team going into this spring are for us to achieve our 10th consecutive season with a winning record, make it to the conference championship match, and make the most of the players in their last year of eligibility who have contributed so mightily to the program," Head Coach
Jeff Robbins said.
Lebanon Valley returns a strong roster, which will look to build on its performances from the fall. Senior
Jake Erb and sophomore
Zach Schrader began this season by tying for the team lead in doubles wins, as they each logged 5-2 records in doubles competition. First-year
Mason Dissinger also led the Flying Dutchmen in singles victories, registering a 4-3 record during the fall campaign.
The Dutchmen will look to junior
Jesse Beck as well, who went 4-3 in doubles competition and tallied two singles wins in the fall. The doubles team of Beck and Schrader delivered a 4-1 record last semester. Junior
Ethan Luu is also back after starting the season with a 4-2 doubles record. Additionally, Lebanon Valley will rely on graduate student
Adam Warren, juniors
Jared Hostetter and
Colin Brusse, and sophomore
Vincent Thompson to continue their success and be key contributors this spring.
The Flying Dutchmen will begin the schedule with a five-match Spring Break Trip to Hilton Head, S.C., with its first competition against Johnson & Wales University on Sunday, March 1, at 4 p.m. Lebanon Valley's first home match of the spring will be against Drew University on Wednesday, March 11, at 3:30 p.m., at the Shankroff Tennis Center.
LVC will start its MAC Freedom schedule against King's College on Saturday, March 28, at 4 p.m., at the Shankroff Tennis Center. The Dutchmen will later host DeSales University for Senior Day on Tuesday, April 21, at 4 p.m. Before the match, the program will recognize Erb, Brusse, and Warren.
