EDGEWATER, N.J. – The Lebanon Valley men's tennis team battled tough against 37th-ranked and top-seeded Stevens Institute of Technology in a 4-0 defeat to the Ducks on Saturday evening in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom Championship match at the Edgewater Tennis Center in Edgewater, New Jersey.
LVC (12-11) and Stevens (14-5) played in the title match for the third consecutive year, with the Ducks winning all three matchups. The Dutchmen played in their fifth straight conference final, winning MAC Commonwealth titles in 2022 and 2023. Stevens won at numbers one and three doubles to earn the first point of the match. They then took three singles courts to clinch the conference championship.
Inside the Box
- Jesse Beck and Zach Schrader were dealt a 6-1 defeat at number one doubles and finished the year 7-3 as playing partners.
- Adam Warren and Ethan Luu dropped a 6-1 decision at number three doubles. Warren finishes his career with a school record 58 wins in doubles.
- Mason Dissinger and Jake Erb were down 5-2 when the doubles point was clinched, and their match went unfinished.
- Beck dropped a 6-0, 6-1 decision at number two singles to finish the year 7-8 in dual matches.
- Erb was defeated 6-1, 6-0 at number three singles to finish the season 7-9 in duals.
- Colin Brusse fell 6-1, 6-0 at number six singles to end the year at 10-8.
- Schrader was winning his second set 2-1 after dropping the first set 6-2 in his number one singles match.
- Warren was down 6-0, 5-1 at number four singles in his final collegiate match.
- Dissinger dropped the first set 6-2 and was down 4-1 in the second set at number five singles.
