ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley men's tennis team is ready to play for a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom title this week as the second seed in the conference tournament. The Dutchmen will host third-seeded Arcadia University in the semifinals on Wednesday at the Hershey Racquet Club in Hershey.
LVC enters the postseason with an 11-10 overall record and a 4-1 mark in conference matches. The Dutchmen earned the second seed for the third consecutive year and will host a semifinal match. The match will be played indoors at the Hershey Racquet Club due to forecasted rain on Wednesday in Annville. The Dutchmen will take on Arcadia, whom they defeated 5-2 on April 18. Top-seeded Stevens Institute of Technology will host fourth-seeded Misericordia University in the other semifinal pairing. The winners will meet on Saturday at the site of the higher seed for the conference title. Admission to all matches is free. LVC dropped a hard-fought 7-0 decision at Stevens on Sunday in the regular season finale.
The Dutchmen recorded a 19-8 singles record in conference play and a 10-3 doubles mark, with all three doubles defeats and six of the eight singles defeats coming on Sunday against the Ducks. LVC is expecting the semifinal match against the Knights to be another close affair after the regular season match featured two three-set singles matches and four other matches that were played competitively and could have gone either way.
Zach Schrader has been the top singles player for the Dutchmen all year and enters the postseason with a 7-12 overall dual record and a 2-2 mark in conference play. He dropped his matches at Arcadia and Stevens.

Jake Erb has worked his way up to the number three slot after starting the year at number four. He is 7-8 overall in duals and went 3-0 in conference play. Erb won his match at Arcadia but did not play on Sunday against Stevens.
Adam Warren won his 100th career match earlier this season and broke the school doubles record. He went 2-2 during singles play in conference matches, dropping a three-setter at Arcadia in the number four slot, and played number two against the Ducks.
Mason Dissinger has been a solid number five for the Dutchmen with a 9-8 dual record and 3-1 conference mark in his rookie season. He won a three-setter at Arcadia and played number three against Stevens.
Colin Brusse is 9-7 in dual matches this season and went 3-1 in conference play. He earned a straight-sets victory at number six in the match against Arcadia and played number four against Stevens.
Jared Hostetter and
Zachary Elmore played in the match against Stevens on Sunday and have seen significant playing time this season. Hostetter is 5-4 with a 1-1 mark in conference play, while Elmore is 4-1 with a 1-1 mark in conference matches.
The Dutchmen have used eight different doubles combinations in conference matches this year. They swept all three courts against the Knights, with Beck and Schrader earning a 6-4 win at number one.
Ethan Luu and Warren won 6-1 at number two, while Erb and Hostetter won 6-0 at number three in their only match as partners this year. Beck and Schrader are 7-2 this season with a 2-0 mark in conference play. Luu and Warren have gone 6-2 with a 3-1 mark in conference matches.
Stevens has won the last five MAC Freedom Championships. The Dutchmen have played in four consecutive conference title matches, winning the MAC Commonwealth titles in 2022 and 2023 before playing Stevens the past two years in the MAC Freedom Final.
