NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Lebanon Valley Cross Country teams earned All-Academic awards from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2025 season, as announced by the association in a release this week. A total of nine Dutchmen student-athletes were honored as individuals, and both teams were recognized for academics.
The men's team was honored as an All-Academic Team, with
Joe Chukoskie,
Wyatt Leitzel,
Eric Shelton, and
Lukas Walko earning individual honors as All-Academic Athletes. The women's team also earned All-Academic Team honors with
Coyla Bartholomew,
Autumn Garges,
Charlee Kurtz,
Kaylee Senglar, and
Lila Shore being named All-Academic Athletes.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers. The women's squad had a GPA of 3.58 while the men posted a 3.53. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top 25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
Bartholomew, a senior Exercise Science major, earns her third consecutive All-Academic honor after leading the Dutchmen at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Region Championship with a 14th-place finish to qualify for the National Championships as an individual as earn her third career All-Region honor.
Chukoskie, a senior Exercise Science major, earns his second consecutive All-Academic honor after finishing 21st at the Regional Championship to earn his second consecutive All-Region honor.
Garges, a senior Digital Communications major, also earns her third consecutive All-Academic award after she placed 33rd at the regional meet to earn All-Region honors for the second time.
Leitzel, a sophomore Business Administration and Marketing major, earns his first All-Academic honor after he just missed All-Region honors with a 36th-place finish at the Mid-Atlantic Regional.
Kurtz, a junior Creative Writing and Neuroscience major, earns her first All-Academic honor after running a career-best time of 23:30.6 at the Mid-Atlantic Regional to finish 47th.
Senglar, a sophomore Psychology major, also earns her first career All-Academic honor after she finished 50th at the Regional Championships.
Shelton, a graduate student studying for his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, earns his second consecutive All-Academic honor after finishing 33rd to earn All-Region honors at the Mid-Atlantic Championships.
Shore, a first-year Exercise Science major, earns her first All-Academic award after a 34th-place finish at the regional meet to earn All-Region honors.
Walko, a junior Mathematics and Computer Science major, earns his first career All-Academic honor after earning All-Region honors with a 28th-place finish at the regional meet.
