BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley indoor track and field teams won five events on Saturday afternoon as the Dutchmen posted another strong showing at the Blue & Grey Invitational hosted by Moravian University at Lehigh University's Rauch Fieldhouse in Bethlehem.
There was no team scoring at the meet.
Track Events
Colin Winters won the men's 60 meters with a time of 7.04 seconds in the final. The junior ran 7.08 seconds in the preliminaries as the top time in the field. The Dutchmen had three sprinters in the final as
Braden Smith finished fifth at 7.29 seconds and
Donovan Goundie was sixth in 7.31 seconds. Goundie ran 7.24 seconds in the prelims while Smith ran 7.33 seconds.
Gabrielle Welter finished third in the women's 60 meters as she ran 8.16 seconds in the final. She ran a career-best time of 8.02 seconds in the prelims, which is sixth in program history.
Caitlyn Kovatch was fifth with a time of 8.37 seconds in the final after running 8.35 seconds in the prelims.
Joshua Leidich finished second in the men's 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.85 seconds in the final. He ran 8.93 seconds to qualify for the final.
Lewis Dieffenbach was third at 9.14 seconds after running 9.24 seconds in the preliminaries.
Anna Sawicki ran the second-fastest time in the prelims of the women's 60-meter hurdles at 9.53 seconds. She did not run in the final.
Ava Matter won the women's 200 meters with a time of 26.59 seconds. Welter was second in a MAC qualifying 27.23 seconds.
Caleb Auzenne was second in the men's 200 meters with a MAC qualifying time of 23.10 seconds. His time is tied for eighth on the program's Top 10 List. Goundie was fourth in 23.34 seconds while Smith finished fifth in a MAC Championships qualifying time of 23.60 seconds.
Luke Macchione also qualified for the conference championships with a time of 23.81 seconds.
Hayden Milchanowski finished third in the men's 400 meters with a time of 54.36 seconds.
Elijah McKell qualified for the MAC Championships in the men's 800 meters with a time of 2:01.01 to finish seconds.
Caden Bell was third in 2:04.21 while
Chad Keller was fourth with a season-best time of 2:04.91.
Owen Kreider finished eighth in 2:07.74. Sawicki was second in the women's 800 meters with a career-best and MAC qualifying time of 2:27.90.
Sierra Kapcsos was right behind her in third with a time of 2:32.15.
Kaylee Senglar ran a MAC qualifying time of 2:32.47 to finish fifth.
Abigail Hunt won the women's mile in a season-best time of 5:30.89. Senglar was third in a career-best time of 5:38.02 while Kapcsos finished fifth in a time of 5:43.38.
Donnie Miller ran a career-best time of 4:35.76 in the men's mile to finish fourth.
Samuel Bower was sixth in a career-best 4:40.55.
Rory Lieberman won the men's 3000 meters with a MAC Championship qualifying time of 8:37.72.
Andrew Namatka was third in a career-best and MAC qualifying time of 8:42.77. His time moved him up to sixth from seventh on the program's Top 10 List.
Joe Chukoskie finished fourth in the event with a MAC qualifying time of 8:43.31 while
Sam Rothstein ran 8:46.45 to finish sixth and qualify for the MAC Championships.
Wyatt Leitzel ran a career-best time of 8:46.86 to finish seventh and qualify for the conference meet, while
Lukas Walko was the sixth conference qualifier with a career-best time of 8:50.28. Lieberman, Namatka, Chukoskie, Rothstein, and Leitzel also qualified for the AARTFC Championships with their times. In the women's race,
Autumn Garges finished third with a season-best and AARTFC qualifying time of 10:31.87.
Coyla Bartholomew qualified for the MAC Championships with a time of 10:41.65 to finish sixth.
Charlee Kurtz ran a career-best time of 10:48.69 to finish seventh.
Field Events
Leo Tirado finished third in the men's high jump with a height of 1.83 meters (6'0"). He cleared the height on his first attempt. The sophomore also finished sixth in the men's long jump with a mark of 6.16 meters (20'2.50") on his fifth attempt.
Tola Oyinkolade finished second in the women's long jump with a jump of 5.25 meters (17'2.75) on her fourth attempt.
Hailey Myers was seventh with a career-best 5.18 meters (17'0") on her second jump. Her mark is eighth in the school record books.
Oyinkolade also finished second in the women's triple jump with a career-best mark of 10.81 meters (35'5.75") on her first jump. Her mark moves her up to fourth in the school record books from a tie for sixth. Myers was fifth with a season-best jump of 10.40 meters (34'1.50") on her first attempt.
Evan Donough finished fourth in the men's triple jump with a season-best mark of 12.26 meters (40'2.75") on his second jump.
Aonghas Evanick won the weight throw with a career-best AARTFC qualifying mark of 16.43 meters (53'11") on his fifth toss. His throw moves him up to third in the program record books.
Jordan Klinger was fourth with a toss of 14.47 meters (47'5.75") on his fifth throw. That mark is eighth on the Top 10 List in program history.
