NEWTOWN, Pa. – The Lebanon Valley College Men's Basketball team garnered recognition on Wednesday, as the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) office announced in a release that two Dutchmen were named to the All-MAC Freedom Men's Basketball Team. Senior forward Ryan Harder and senior forward and center Evin Timochenko were both listed on the Second Team.
Harder received All-MAC Freedom honors for the second time in his career, as the forward was also chosen to the Second Team last season. Harder was third in the MAC Freedom with 436 points, third with 154 field goals made, fourth with an average of 17.4 points per game, fourth with a field goal percentage of .543, fifth with 58 three-pointers made, and fifth with 2.3 three-pointers per game. The forward was also sixth in the conference with 127 defensive rebounds, seventh with 152 total rebounds, tied for seventh with a free throw percentage of .778, eighth with 70 free throws made, eighth with a three-point field goal percentage of .423, and tied for eighth with 6.1 total rebounds per game. Among Lebanon Valley players, Harder was first in points, first in points per game, first in three-pointers made, and first in free throws made. The senior was also second in field goals made, second in total rebounds, second in defensive rebounds, second in offensive rebounds with 25, second in blocks with 13, tied with Timochenko for second in assists with 52, third in three-point field goal percentage, fourth with a field goal percentage of .453, tied for fourth in free throw percentage, and fifth in steals with 20. Harder came through with multiple impactful performances during the winter, including when he scored a career-high 32 points and made a career-high seven three-pointers while tallying four total rebounds in LVC's 87-53 victory over King's College on Jan. 29. He was recognized by the conference for this performance and his efforts against Stevens Institute of Technology on Feb. 1, earning the MAC Freedom Player of the Week award on Feb. 3. Harder also scored 27 points, including the 1,000th of his career, and had three assists with five defensive rebounds at Misericordia University on Feb. 10.
Timochenko was named to the All-MAC Freedom Team for the second time in his career, as the senior was listed on the Second Team in the 2023-24 campaign as well. Timochenko was first in the MAC Freedom with 185 field goals made while ranking second in the conference with an average of 9.9 total rebounds per game and nine double-doubles. The senior was also third in the conference with 247 total rebounds, third with 173 defensive rebounds, fourth with 74 offensive rebounds, fourth with a field goal percentage of .543, fifth with 415 points, fifth with 16.6 points per game. On the team, Timochenko was first in field goals made, first in field goal percentage, first in total rebounds, first in offensive rebounds, first in defensive rebounds, and first in blocks with 14. He was also second on the squad in points, second in points per game, tied with Harder for second in assists with 52, third in steals with 21, and fourth with 41 free throws made. Timochenko had several big games for the Dutchmen during the campaign, including his career-high 33 points with 19 total rebounds in the 85-82 season-opening victory over Cairn University on Nov. 9, 2024. The senior also had 24 points with 10 total rebounds at Misericordia on Feb. 10. Timochenko received four awards from the conference during the winter for his production, as he was selected as the MAC Freedom Player of the Week on Nov. 11, 2024, Dec. 2, 2024, Dec. 16, 2024, and Jan. 6.
