3/18/2025 2:02:00 PM

GLOUCESTER, Mass. – Lebanon Valley Women's Ice Hockey sophomore Anna Dale has been named a finalist for the 2024-25 Laura Hurd Award as announced by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) in a release on Tuesday afternoon.

The Laura Hurd Award is given annually to the best NCAA Division III Women's Ice Hockey student-athlete in the country. Dale is one of 13 finalists for the award. Sponsored by the American Hockey Coaches Association, the Hurd Award honors the memory of former Elmira College standout Laura Hurd. A 2005 graduate of Elmira, and a four-time All-American, Hurd died in an automobile accident shortly after graduation. She was the recipient of the AHCA Player of the Year Award in 2005. The recipient of this year's Hurd Award will be announced on Thursday, March 27, at the NCAA Frozen Four in River Falls, Wisconsin.

Dale, the Middle Atlantic Conference Offensive Player of the Year, led Division III in goals per game this season scoring a program record 27 goals in 26 games. She also had 13 assists for 40 points and finished fifth in points per game with 1.54. The sophomore all led the nation in short-handed goals with five and was fourth in the country with five game-winning goals. She led the Dutchmen to having the most short-handed goals in the country and 18th in team goals.

The native of Juneau, Alaska becomes LVC's first finalist for the Laura Hurd Award after a season she broke many program records. The full list of finalists and past award winners are below.
