ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley women's ice hockey standout
Katrina Strauts received United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) and Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) honors this week while
Shelby Guinard and
Ioanna Christou earned spots on the All-MAC Team.
Strauts was named the UCHC Rookie of the Year while also earning a spot on the All-Rookie Team. She was also voted to the All-MAC Team as a first team selection. The forward had an incredible season while breaking program records with 23 points on 12 goals and 11 assists. She was tied for 11th in the UCHC and tied for first in the MAC in goals, tied for 15th in the UCHC and tied for fifth in the MAC in assists, and tied for 16th in the UCHC and tied for third in the MAC in points. Strauts was +8 on the ice, scored six power play goals and two game-winning goals.
Guinard was a second team selection on the All-MAC Team as a goaltender after an excellent season in between the pipes. The senior had a 2.80 goals-against average and .924 save percentage making 524 saves. Guinard recorded two shutouts and made a season-high 48 saves at Nazareth on November 18. The senior earns her second career All-MAC honor.
Christou was an honorable mention selection as a defender after leading the defense with 12 points on six goals and six assists. She was a +3 on the ice and blocked a team-high 38 shots. Christou was third in the MAC in blocked shots.
