Jersey Auction
(
AUCTION PAGE) In honor of the event, Lebanon Valley will again be auctioning off specially-designed jerseys that each player will wear for one afternoon only vs. the Mustangs. Each jersey is being auctioned online through bidding at LVC's athletic website until Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Proceeds from the auction will be directed to the Genetics Program at the Penn State Health Cancer Institute. All other proceeds will go to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
For a Cure
Each year through the annual Pink Game jersey auction, the sale of Pink Game t-shirts, and the accepting of donations on the night of the contest, Lebanon Valley raises thousands of dollars for charitable organizations that aid in the prevention, detection, and treatment of cancer, including the Genetics Program at the Penn State Health Cancer Institute and the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
Special Guests
Every year prior to tip-off, the women's basketball team is joined on the floor of Sorrentino Gymnasium by a number of longtime supporters of LVC's endeavor to spread awareness of cancer prevention, detection, and treatment. Although they're unable to attend in person, Dr. Jeanne Donlevy Arnold and Ed Arnold continue their generous backing of the College with a special check during the presentation ceremony. On the court for the check presentation will be head coach
Amy Sokaitis, players
Emily Mealey,
Morgan Bamberger, and
Amber Kintzer, as well as Dr. Maria Baker who works in the Genetics Program of Penn State Health Center's Cancer Institute, and Megan Webber, Associate Director of Community Fundraising and Cause Marketing at Hershey Med.
Pizza!
In between the men's and women's game, all LVC students are encouraged to walk over to the Dutchmen Lounge where free pizza will be available.
Postgame Autograph Session
Immediately following Saturday's Pink Game, the women's basketball team will be signing autographs in the downstairs lobby, under the stairs that lead to the gym entrance. All are encouraged after the game to meet your favorite players and coaches and get their autographs!
