WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley capped its weekend with the second of back-to-back victories, this time a 6-3 win at King's (Pa.) on Sunday afternoon.
The Flying Dutchmen (5-4) earned a pair of victories in doubles play as the top team of
Brent Greco and
Reed Morris defeated the Monarchs' duo of Nathan Carl and Luke Whitenight 8-6, while
Jonathan Hastings and
Jordan Heavel held off Terry Briggs and Ryan Kopishke 9-7 in the third doubles outing.
Hastings was the top singles player to earn a win for LVC thanks to 6-0, 7-6 (9-7) decision over Whiteknight in the third solo match, while Morris,
Blake Martin, and
Elliott Kleckner recorded singles victories to clinch the match for the Dutchmen. Morris topped Terry Briggs 6-4, 6-0 in the fourth outing, Martin went 6-1, 6-1 over Josh Mesaris in the number five pairing, and Kleckner handled Tyler Tuck 6-3, 6-0 in the sixth contest.
LVC gets back to MAC Commonwealth play when it hosts Arcadia at the Shankroff Tennis Center on Wednesday afternoon.
