Schrader Earns Two Wins in Battle with Southern Virginia

ANNVILLE, Pa. – Zach Schrader won in singles and doubles for the Lebanon Valley College men's tennis team on Saturday in a hard-fought 4-3 defeat to Southern Virginia University at the Shankroff Tennis Center in Annville.

The Dutchmen battled tough in a tightly contested affair with the Knights. SVU won two of the three doubles matches to take the first point of the match. The deciding match at number two doubles needed a tiebreaker to decide a winner. The teams then split the six singles matches, with LVC winning on courts one, five, and six.

  • Jesse Beck and Schrader had LVC's lone doubles win at number one as they cruised to a 6-3 victory. Mason Dissinger and Ethan Luu dropped a hard-fought 7-6 (7-4) decision at number two.
  • Schrader was the second singles match to finish as he earned his first win of the year with a 6-4, 6-3 victory at number one.
