SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley suffered its first loss of the season when it fell to undefeated Susquehanna 8-1 on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 25.
In doubles play, LVC (1-1) dropped all three contests, with
Joel Eisenhower and
Zachary Rosa coming closest to earning a victory in an 8-5 defeat at the hands of Nicholas Meale and Ashton Collins in the number three matchup.
Blake Martin accounted for the lone Flying Dutchmen victory of solo competition, as the freshman won two straight after dropping the first set in a 2-6, 7-6, 10-8 decision over Alexander Cocolas in the third singles pairing.
Nick Jones and
Jonathan Hastings fell to their River Hawk counterparts in the number one and two solo matchups, respectively, but both players forced three sets before bowing out.
The Dutchmen return home to the Shankroff Tennis Center to host Eastern in the team's final dual match of the fall on Monday afternoon, Oct. 5.
