ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley fell to Messiah 9-0 in the team's MAC Commonwealth opener on Saturday afternoon.
LVC's number two doubles team
Cody Manmiller and
Jonathan Hastings made things tough on the Falcons' Devin Esch and Austin Warren in an 8-6 setback, while
Nick Jones and
Elliott Kleckner and
Jordan Heavel and
Joel Eisenhower dropped 8-3 decisions in the number one and number three doubles matchups, respectively.
Hastings took Messiah's Connor Graybeal to the limit in the number two singles outing before falling 7-5, 7-6 and Eisenhower stayed within striking distance of Blake Ross before bowing out with a 6-4, 6-3 decision in the matchup of the teams' number six solo players.
Lebanon Valley's match against King's (Pa.) originally scheduled for Sunday afternoon has been postponed due to frigid temperatures. No makeup date has yet to be announced. The Dutchmen will next be in action on Wednesday afternoon when they travel to Delaware Valley.
