ANNVILLE, Pa. –
Jonathan Hastings and
Cody Manmiller led the way for Lebanon Valley in the team's 7-2 setback to Elizabethtown on Thursday afternoon.
Hastings defeated E-town's Ryan Caris 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 in a competitive outing between the programs' number two singles players, while Manmiller picked up a 6-3, 6-3 win over the Blue Jays' Nathan Dowling in the matchup of the squads' number three solo players.
The pair teamed up in doubles play but fell to the duo of Dowling and Matthew Hornbaker in the number two match.
Joel Eisenhower and
Elliott Kleckner, LVC's number three duo, nearly knocked off E-town's Evan Hinkley and Nick Strobel in doubles action but ultimately fell 8-6 in a hard-fought outing.
Lebanon Valley begins conference play this weekend when the team hosts MAC Commonwealth rival Messiah on Saturday afternoon.
