ANNVILLE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley closed out the dual-match portion of its fall season with a 7-2 non-conference victory over Eastern at Shankroff Tennis Center on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 5.

The team depth of the Flying Dutchmen (2-1) was on display in doubles action. Despite dropping the top doubles contest, LVC earned victories in the number two and three matchups, respectively. Nick Jones and Blake Martin swept Eastern's team of Ryan Ellison and Christian Torres, while Elliott Kleckner and Joel Eisenhower handled the Eagles' duo of Karl Finkbeiner and Antonio Lopez 8-2.

LVC took five of six from the visitors in singles action, with Jonathan Hastings earning the team's highest solo victory by defeating Mitchell Weaver in the second number two outing 6-2, 6-0. Reed Morris took care of Ellison 6-1, 6-1 in the third matchup and Kleckner picked up a 6-1, 6-2 win against Torres in the number four contest. Martin dispatched of Finkbeiner 6-2, 6-2 in the fifth singles pairing and Jordan Heavel led 5-0 before Lopez was forced to retire due to injury in the number six matchup.

The Dutchmen will next be in action at this weekend's Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Individual Championship Tournament. The two-day tournament takes place at Wilkes on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 8 and Oct. 9.
