ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley used the depth of its line-up to beat Alvernia, 6-3, in a key Commonwealth Conference match.
The Dutchmen improved to 2-1 in conference play with the win, which featured four singles wins and a pair of doubles victories.
Sam Calabria led the way with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2, and
Christian Grove battled to a 6-2, 7-6 (4) victory at No. 4.
Nick Jones won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 3, and
Jonathan Hastings was a 6-3, 6-1 winner at No. 6.
In doubles, Calabria and
Cody Manmiller won 8-2 at No. 2, and Grove and
Jordan Heavel took the No. 3 match by the same score.
LVC will visit Hood on Saturday for a 1 p.m. match.
