Lebanon Valley 8, Misericordia 1

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - Lebanon Valley kicked off its spring schedule with solid 8-1 win over Misericordia in Hilton Head.

LVC won five of six singles in straight sets after sweeping doubles to stay unbeaten in dual play in 2013-14 after a 2-0 record through fall play.

Ryan Weitzel highlighted the match, cruising 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 over Tony Goodall and teaming with Andrew Wilson for an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles.

Sam Calabria won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 and Jordan Shankroff was a 6-1, 6-2 winner at No. 4, while Brent Greco and Cody Manmiller each double-bageled their opponents at Nos. 5 and 6. Greco and Shankroff won 6-1 at No. 2 doubles, and Eric Rebellato and Calabria teamed to win 6-3 at No. 3.

LVC will play Mount Union tomorrow in their second match in Hilton Head.
