ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley opened Commonwealth Conference play with a 7-2 win over Lycoming on Thursday.

The Dutchmen (3-6, 1-0 CC) picked up their first win of the spring with strong play up and down the ladder, led by Ryan Weitzel's 6-2, 7-6 (4) win at No. 2 over Cody Heffner and a strong 6-0, 6-1 win by Andrew Wilson at No. 3 against Cody Butler.

Leading 2-1 after doubles, LVC also picked up singles wins by Jordan Shankroff at No. 4, 6-1, 6-0 against Jack Port; Sam Calabria at No. 5, 6-1, 6-1 over Joe Amento; and Dillon Streifeneder at No. 6, outlasting Jordan Dubinsky in three 6-4, 4-6, 11-9.

LVC will play at Cabrini on Monday.
