ANNVILLE, Pa. – The games of Sunday's doubleheader were vastly different from each other but both ended in losses for Lebanon Valley.

The Dutchmen (5-11, 2-4 CC) lost the first, 8-2, after being held scoreless through six innings. They lost the second, 4-2, after seeing Phill Dohner carry a no-hitter into the fifth and leading into the seventh.

Dohner was a performer in both games. He hit 1-for-3 and made played a crafty shortstop in game one before pitching a gem and collecting a pair of hits in game two.

Dohner was one of just four players to hit in game one, and the Dutchmen were unable to move a runner past second base until the sixth. They finally scored a pair of runs in the seventh with a potpourri built on an error, a walk, a hit by pitch, a single, and a fielder's choice. Korey Johnson scored the first, pinch running for Tim Filer. Dylan Tamecki scored the other after walking. Andrew Germann singled for the first RBI, and Glenn Dietrich reached on a fielder's choice for the second.

Corey Cinicola started the game for LVC, going five innings and allowing seven runs on eight hits and three walks. In the end, just two runs were earned. He struck out two.

In game two, Dohner led off in the fourth with a double to right center. He advanced on a fly out and scored on a two-out RBI single by John Hildebrand. Germann plated Hildebrand three batters later on an RBI single through the left side of the infield by Andrew Germann.

LVC's lead lasted into the seventh inning, despite a Widener run in the sixth. Dohner pitched through the seventh, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk. He struck out three but was left with a no decision.

Mike Specht pitched the eighth, allowing Widener's final two runs on three hits and a walk. He struck out one batter and fell to 0-1.
