Sam Calabria tied the LVC single-season wins record as Lebanon Valley wrapped up the 2012 regular season with a shutout of Albright, rolling into the playoffs with the 9-0 victory.
Calabria won his 20th match of the season, going 20-5 with a shutout of Chris Hawkins at No. 5 to tie the mark set by Josh Shellenberger in 1999 and Chris Hileman in 2002.
The Dutchmen (16-5, 5-1 CC) will host a team to be determined on May 2 in the Commonwealth Conference semifinals. Their opponent will depend on the outcome of Saturday's matches.
Ethan Grodzinski led the singles with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Ruicong Lui at No. 1, and
Roger Van Scyoc had a strong 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2.
Andrew Wilson returned to the lineup to win 6-0, 6-2 against Cain Walter, and
Joel Ramos responded well from a tough first set to win 7-5, 6-0 versus Mike Callahan, and
Pat Jones beat Brandon Wiegand 6-0, 6-1.
LVC got through doubles quickly at Nos. 1 and 2, with Grodzinski/Van Scyoc and Calabria/
Kyle Kahl both winning 8-2. Ramos/Wilson were pushed at No. 2 but won 8-5.
