Lebanon Valley 6, Penn State Harrisburg 1

ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley extended its win streak to seven matches, winning a rain-shortened match with Penn State Harrisburg 6-1 on Wednesday.

The Dutchmen improved to 11-4 with four straight-set singles wins. Cloudy, cold, and windy weather finally gave way to rain two hours into the match, leaving Nos. 3 and 6 singles unfinished.

Ethan Grodzinski and Roger Van Scyoc keyed the win at the top two flights, with Grodzinski beating Josh Cartmill 6-4, 6-1 and Van Scyoc winning his seventh straight over Evgency Matigullin, 6-2, 6-0. Joel Ramos beat Zachry Warriner 6-2, 6-2, and Sam Calabria won 6-1, 6-0 against Tyler Loy.

Andrew Wilson and Christian Grove had their matches abandoned due to the rain, with their opponents leading each at the time.

In doubles, Grodzinski/Van Scyoc won their seventh in a row with an 8-6 victory at No. 1, while Calabria/Kyle Kahl won 8-5 at No. 2. PSU's long point was at No. 3 as Warriner/Vishnu Gopalakrishnan beat Ramos/Patrick Jones 8-5.

LVC will host a big match Saturday against defending CC champion Elizabethtown starting at noon.
