FREDERICK, Md. - Lebanon Valley got back to action at Hood on Monday, combating windy and cold conditions for an 8-1 win.

The Dutchmen (7-4) won for the third straight outing with a doubles sweep and five of six singles wins.

Ethan Grodzinski and Roger Van Scyoc won a tight No. 1 doubles match, 9-7, and Ryan Weitzel/Joel Ramos won 8-5 and No. 2 while Sam Calabria/Kyle Kahl earned an 8-3 win at No. 3.

In singles, Van Scyoc beat Andrew Blowe 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 and Weitzel topped Travis Kline 6-3, 7-5 at No. 3. The bottom three rungs were all quick Dutchmen wins as Wilson won 6-2, 6-0 over Chris Papinsick at No. 4, Joel Ramos was a 6-1, 6-0 winner against Chad Love at No. 5, and Calabria blanked Trevor Baldwin at No. 6.

Hood's lone point came at No. 1 as Carter Reitman rallied from a set down to beat Grodzinski, 2-6, 6-4, 10-8.

LVC hosts Penn State Altoona on Tuesday.
