ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley will look to reverse a regular-season loss as it heads to Lycoming on Tuesday to play a Commonwealth Conference Men's Tennis championship tournament semifinal.

The Dutchmen (10-8, 4-2 CC) earned the CC's #3 seed, and will face the host Warriors (7-3, 5-1 CC), the #2 seed, in a bid to return to the final for the first time since their title run in 2009.

Although the Dutchmen suffered a 9-0 loss to Lycoming in the regular season on April 3, they were without senior Tom Neckelmann in the singles line-up, and his inclusion should help keep it a tight match.

Lebanon Valley ended the season in good form, beating Arcadia 5-4 on April 17 before blasting Alvernia 9-0 last Thursday to secure their playoff berth.

In a first-to-five playoff format, doubles are especially important, and despite the Warriors taking all three points back on April 3, a reshuffled LVC line-up, led by the top team of Ethan Grodzinski and Neckelmann, will try to grab an early lead.

Only three singles flights will be rematches from their regular-season meeting, as Grodzinski plays Jason Mifsud at No. 1, Brad Sweigart takes on Bobby Brown at No. 2, and Joel Ramos plays Cody Heffner at No. 5. Mifsud beat Grodzinski 6-4, 6-4  earlier this season, and Brown edged Sweigart in a three-set toss-up 5-7, 6-4, 7-6 (5). Heffner beat Ramos 6-2, 6-2.

The rest of the ladder is all new, as Neckelmann plays at No. 3 against David Brown, Ryan Weitzel goes against Phil Shannon at No. 4, and Andrew Wilson plays Devin Rachael at No. 5.
